After landing in Ho Chi Minh City, you will need to travel to Phan Thiet / Mui Ne by bus, train or another mean of transportation. The journey can take about 4 hours or even more. Flight from Hanoi to Nha Trang + trip to Mui Ne
The second way is taking a flight from Noi Bai Airport (HAN) in Hanoi to Cam Ranh Airport (CXR) in Nha Trang and reaching Phan Thiet / Mui Ne from there. Bus from Hanoi to Mui Ne
Travelling by bus from Hanoi to Mui Ne can be the cheapest way but also the most dangerous and inconvenient one. When choosing to travel this way, you will need to be on the road for more than one day and the road along the way won’t be smooth.
If you will decide to travel from Hanoi to Mui Ne by bus, you can buy bus tickets at Nuoc Ngam Bus Station. Buses usually drop off passengers in Phan Thiet City from where you can take a taxi to Mui Ne.
There are many high-quality bus companies operating on the route Hanoi-Phan Thiet-Mui Ne such as Phuong Trang Bus, Mai Linh Express Bus or Hoang Long Bus. With a distance of 1510 km, traveling by bus can take about 20-30 hours. Ticket prices range from 700,000 VND to 800,000 VND per passenger.
Train from Hanoi to Mui Ne
There is no railway station in Mui Ne but you still can choose a train for getting from Hanoi to Mui Ne. Traveling to Mui Ne by train is safer option than taking a bus.
There are 2 railway stations located not far from Mui Ne: Binh Thuan Railway Station (former Muong Man Railway Station) and Phan Thiet Railway Station. However, the trains departing from Hanoi Railway Station only stop at Binh Thuan Railway Station. From Binh Thuan Railway Station you would need to take a taxi for another 40 km to Mui Ne.

Alternatively, you can combine taking a train with traveling by bus. Many people prefer taking a train from Hanoi to Nha Trang as it takes about 26 hours and then transferring by bus directly to Mui Ne. Such a trip can be faster and cheaper than taking only train along the route.
Private Transport
In addition, you can choose to travel from Hanoi to Mui Ne by private transport such as car or motorbike. Travelling around Vietnam by a private car or motorbike is a memorable experience.
