There is a wide range of accommodation in Sapa and the area around Sapa town is a great choice to stay when exploring all major highlights of the mountainous town and its surroundings. During our last visit we decided to stay at Sapa Scenery Hotel for 2 nights of our trip. Our review of the hotel in Sapa.
Our Room
We booked a Suite with Mountain View at Sapa Scenery Hotel and we loved this room. Our room was on the top floor. Once we walked into the room, we spotted the cozy interior. The room itself was perfectly clean and spacious with a balcony.
The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was big and clean.
The best thing about the room was an amazing view of the valley seen right from our room, except of the time when the fog rolled in.
Breakfast
The breakfast was included in our room rate. The breakfast wasn’t pleasing much and could be improved.
On the first day, our breakfast was served in buffet. The choice was very limited and most dishes were cold.
On the 2nd day, we got a menu of food and drinks, as there was no buffet anymore. They had both western and Vietnamese food such as Pho, scrambled eggs, pancakes. However, we could choose only one dish.
We are still not sure how they managed to serve breakfast in different style and what can be expected.
Location
We really liked the location of the hotel as the hotel was located just a bit off the beaten path. The hotel was situated within a walking distance to the town center and attractions but far enough not to hear the noise of the streets so it was pretty quiet at night. The hotel is a good starting point for trekking to visit rice terraces and Cat Cat Village.
Service
The staff was nice, especially the girl at the reception who could speak decent English. It felt like she was doing everything. We could leave our luggage there after check-out without any problems.
Room Price
Sapa Scenery Hotel was cheap when we booked it and provided us an extremely good value for money. However, the normal price of the hotel is a bit high as it is about double the price we have paid.

We had a lovely stay at Sapa Scenery Hotel. The hotel was well located for our Sapa trip itinerary. The hotel and room are relatively simple so if you are the type of person who is looking for luxury, you should consider staying at another place. The biggest advantage for us was that we had a room overlooking the mountains and it was wonderful to wake up with such an amazing view so any negative comments would not reflect our satisfaction with the view. If you want to stay at Sapa Scenery Hotel, just make sure you get a room on the correct side of the hotel.
