Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin - Train Night Market Srinakarin

Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin, also known as Train Market, is a massive open-air night market in Bangkok. This market is quite far from central Bangkok but it's a great little gem to see and experience, especially if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and looking for a new place to explore, eat and enjoy shopping at the same time.

The most attractive point of Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin is the atmosphere which is unique and different if compared to other markets. The whole place is very lively with a lot of local people coming here to hangout on weekend evenings. However, we wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit this market for touristy finds as you can get souvenirs at easier reachable places such as MBK or Chatuchak Weekend Market. But if you are in the area, Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin is really worth to visit.

Opening Hours

Thursday - Sunday 17:00 - 01:00

The best time to visit Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin is after 19:00 of Friday to Sunday when most of the stalls are set up already as some stalls don't open too early.

How to get there

MRT Yellow Line

Take a train on the newly opened MRT Yellow Line to Suan Luang Rama IX Station (YL15) and use Exit 1 that will bring you right in front of the market entrance. The Yellow Line is connected with city's all main rail systems such BTS Skytrain, MRT Blue Line and Airport Rail Link (ARL), making traveling to the night market easier from different areas of Bangkok.

Public Bus

Take Bangkok Bus No. 133, 145, 206, 207 or Air-con bus No. 11 and drop off at “Seacon Square” then walk along the road in Soi Srinakarin 51 about 200 meters to the market.

Taxi

The easiest and most convenient way is taking Bangkok taxi directly from wherever you are. It is easier to tell the driver “Seacon Square” as the Srinakarin Train Market is just behind it. From Sukhumvit/Asok area taxi ride costs about 160-200 baht and from Khao San Road it costs about 200-300 Baht, depending on the traffic.

Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin or Jodd Fairs?

Jodd Fairs Night Market is a barely new night market operated by the same owner as the previous Ratchada Train Night Market, which has been shut down due to the epidemic so basically this night market boasts a similar lively and vibrant night scene atmosphere. Jodd Fairs location is easier accessible from Bangkok city center and it opens every night. If the distance to Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin and the need to change trains on the way doesn't seem to be a problem for you and you are visiting Bangkok on weekend, we would recommend you to choose the original Train Market Srinakarin as it's larger and offers more local feel than Jodd Fairs as the number of tourists visiting the market is significantly lower.
