Quarantine in Cambodia
To quarantine in Cambodia, you need to choose between a hotel arranged by the Cambodian Government or have pre-booked and paid for one of the Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ). If you want to use a government arranged hotel, you will need to demonstrate you hold sufficient funds to guarantee the cost of your quarantine process. The location at the government-designated facility will not be known until your arrival.
Important Update! Quarantine requirements from November 15 onward
- Vaccinated travellers are not required to quarantine on arrival.
- Unvaccinated travellers or those who have not been fully vaccinated will be required to undergo a PCR COVID-19 test and must quarantine for 14 days according to the Cambodia Ministry of Health regulation. If not pre-booking the hotel, you must demonstrate 2,000 USD in cash per person.
- All passengers subject to COVID-19 PCR testing in quarantine facility upon entry

ASQ Hotel Reservation
If you wish to be quarantined in one of these Alternative State Quarantine hotels in Cambodia, the reservation needs to be made in advance and you will need to contact hotel directly. Prices and conditions at the time of booking are determined by each hotel.
Hotel ASQ package Prices
The new regulations also pointed out that tourists who have not booked an ASQ quarantine, you will be required to make a deposit of the amount specified at the time of entry
- 600 USD for 3 days
- 1,000 USD for 7 days
- 2,000 USD for 14 days
The deposit will be used to cover the accommodation during the quarantine period, PCR testing fee, transportation from airport to hotel, and medical treatment fee in the event if travellers is infected with Covid-19. Any remaining balance, if have, will be returned to traveller within 3 days after the end of quarantine period. However, if you stay at the above hotel, you will be exempted from paying the deposit , but instead you will be required to submit a hotel reservation confirmation as a document certifying that you will stay in quarantine at the above hotel.
Other required documents before travelling to Cambodia
- A valid travel documents and visa issued by a Cambodian Embassy or Consulate. The Government of Cambodia has suspended visa-on-arrival programs until further notice.
- Certificate of negative COVID-19 result (valid within 72 hours of departure, with doctor’s signature and/or stamp, PCR swab test, traveler’s passport number and original copy
- Certificate of Health insurance for foreign travelers to cover for COVID-19 treatment or purchase a health insurance package from Forte Insurance Company
- COVID-19 vaccination card or certificate confirming fully vaccinated status, the vaccine type, and dates.
