How to Take Airport Rail Link Train from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Bangkok

Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) is connected to the Bangkok city by Airport Train, which is known as Airport Rail Link.

The railway line consists of 8 stations – Suvarnabhumi, Lat Krabang, Ban Thap Chang, Hua Mak, Ramkhamhaeng, Makkasan, Ratchaprarop and Phaya Thai. There's no non-stop express train service anymore. Therefore all the trains stop at every station and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

Airport Rail Link is linked with both the Subway (MRT) via Makkasan station and BTS SkyTrain via Phaya Thai Station. It covers a distance of 28 km. The ticket costs from 15 to 45 THB, depending on the distance. Trains run daily from 05.30 am until midnight.

By far, taking Airport Rail Link is the cheapest and easiest way to get to the city centre.

Once you arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport, arrivals are on the 2nd floor. For taking Airport Rail Link you need to go down by the escalator or lift.
