Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam: Hanoi Luxury Hotel Review

There is no doubt that for tourists the best area to stay in Hanoi is the Old Quarter as from there it’s easy to walk around the center of the city and all most popular attractions are within a walking distance. We had 2 more nights in Hanoi between the trips to other cities in Vietnam and decided to stay at Hanoi Luxury Hotel. Check for our review of the hotel.

Our Room

We booked a Superior Double Room at Hanoi Luxury Hotel but at the time of check-in the receptionist asked us if we want to upgrade room for a charge. As we were not interested and declined that offer, at the end we got a free upgrade to Deluxe Double Room.

The room we got was spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Bathroom was spacious and came with a bathtub.

We were staying on the 6th floor facing another building so the room wasn’t noisy.

Breakfast

Hanoi Luxury Hotel’s breakfast is served at another hotel of the same chain (Luxury Backpackers Hotel) that is located nearby.

Although the breakfast is not bad, the choice of food could be improved.

If you won’t book the room with breakfast, it won’t be a problem because there are plenty of nice coffee shops with good quality food nearby.

Location of Hanoi Luxury Hotel

Hanoi Luxury Hotel is located right at the heart of the old town, at No. 2 Phu Doan lane, Phu Doan, and situated in a quiet peaceful corner which offers you a perfect retreat from the vibrant and buzzing Old Quarter.

You can easily walk anywhere from the hotel. The famous Hoan Kiem Lake (only 5 minutes), Saint-Joseph Cathedral (3 minutes), Dong Xuan Market, Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Vietnam Historical Museum, Museum of Vietnamese Art, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, numerous art galleries, handicraft shops and some other tourist attractions are all within a walking distance from Hanoi Luxury Hotel.

Service

The staff of Hanoi Luxury Hotel was helpful. They spoke good English which is not that common at other hotels in Vietnam. All our requests were immediately and efficiently taken care of. We used the laundry service of this hotel but it was quite expensive if compared to the prices offered by laundry shops on the main street nearby.

Room Price

Hanoi Luxury Hotel isn’t as luxury as its name states and doesn't have amazing facilities but it offers really good value for money and that’s what we were looking for.

For current room price check here: Hanoi Luxury Hotel.

Our Rate: 8.5/10

Hanoi Luxury Hotel is one of the better hotels we’ve stayed at in Hanoi. For the price of the room you can hardly get any better in the capital of Vietnam.
