Krabi Bus Terminal is the main bus station of Krabi province. Bus station is located about 4 km north of Krabi Town, near the junction between Utarakit Road and Krabi Airport Road. Krabi Bus Terminal is serviced by buses and minivans running to various destinations in Southern Thailand such as Phuket, Surat Thani, Koh Samui, Koh Lanta, Ranong, Trang as well as a number of daily buses going to Bangkok.
Krabi Bus Station Facilities
Krabi Bus Terminal is not a large one but you can still find the main facilities there. There are paid toilets as well as few stalls where you can grab some food, snacks and beverages for your trip.
There are two rows of ticket counters at Krabi Bus Terminal. The names of destinations are written in English so it won't be difficult to choose the right counter for buying a ticket.
Tickets
In most cases you can just buy a ticket from the counters at Krabi Bus Terminal. Arriving half hour before the time of bus departure is normally enough.
However, if you are planning to take a long distance bus to Bangkok, booking a ticket in advance is recommended. Booking a ticket in advance for the night buses during the high season and all buses during holiday periods such as New Year and Songkran Festival in April, is almost mandatory as buses quickly fill up.

At Krabi Bus Terminal, you will find bus ticket counters of governmental bus company 999 bus, also called “Bor.Kor.Sor.” in Thai, and private bus and minivan companies.
There are 3 types of buses operating at Krabi Bus Terminal: VIP Air-Conditioned Buses with less seats , 1st Class Air-Conditioned Buses offering direct service and 2nd Class Air-Conditioned Buses that generally have frequent stops to pick up passengers so the journey on such a bus might take a bit longer.
There are also minibuses departing from Krabi Bus Terminal to the destinations in Southern Thailand. On some of the routes you will find both buses and minibuses going to the same destination. Minibuses in most cases are faster than regular buses but their security records are not that good.

Bangkok
Governmental 999 bus from Krabi Bus Terminal to Bangkok run 4 times a day. VIP bus departs from Krabi to Sai Tai Mai Bus Terminal at 17:30 and costs 862 THB. There are also 3 first-class buses departing at 16:00, 17:00 and 18:00 (costs from 554 to 587 THB). The earliest of them goes to Bangkok Northern (Mo Chit) Bus Terminal.
Other companies also operate buses between Krabi and two stations in Bangkok (Southern and Northern). There are morning buses departing at 08:00 and 08:20 but most of the buses from Krabi to Bangkok depart from 16:00 to 17:30 as taking an overnight bus is the most popular option for covering this route.
The journey from Krabi to Bangkok takes about 12 hours.
Phuket
There are many bus and minivan routes connecting Krabi Bus Terminal and Phuket. Buses and minivans from Krabi to Phuket depart frequently from 06:00 to 18:00.
Koh Lanta
Minivans from Krabi Bus Terminal to Koh Lanta depart every hour from 07:00 to 17:00.
Khao Sok / Khao Lak
Minivans from Krabi Bus Terminal to Khao Sok National Park depart every 2 hours from 07:30 to 16:00. Minivans also stop at Khao Lak on the way.
Surat Thani / Koh Samui / Koh Phangan

Public bus (songtaew) routes connect Krabi Bus Terminal with Krabi Town and Ao Nang.
From Ao Nang you can reach Krabi Bus Station by taking a songtaew that departs every 15 minutes. The fare is 60 baht per person.
