Ferry from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc
The distance between Rach Gia Bus Station and the pier is just about 1 km. When you arrive at Rach Gia, you can choose to walk, take a motorbike taxi or taxi to Rach Gia Pier.
If you have time and feel healthy enough, it is recommended to walk. If you will be taking a motorbike taxi or taxi, you should agree the price with the driver in advance. From Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc by Motorbike or Car
You can surely reach Phu Quoc from Saigon by a motorbike or car. Ferries departing from Ha Tien are not only able to carry passengers but they can also transport both cars and motorcycles. Therefore, if you want to bring your own motorbike or car to Phu Quoc, you need to transfer at Ha Tien Pier.
Ha Tien is located right on the border between Vietnam and Cambodia, which is 350 km southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. The route from Saigon to Ha Tien is quite long but it can be a great experience. There are also many attractions along the way. It is recommended to break the journey into few days and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Mekong Delta on the way.
Important Notes
All ferries to Phu Quoc depart before 13:45. If you arrive in Ha Tien City or Rach Gia City late, you should find accommodation there and then leave to the island early in the morning.
Traveling to Phu Quoc from Saigon by road and waterways takes lot of time as it can easily take about 9-10 hours to get there. However, this way is normally cheaper than taking a flight.
