Hon Thom Cable Car is the short name for Hon Thom Nature Park and it is part of Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park. This amusement park consists of two main areas: Hon Thom Cable Car and Aquatopia Water Park built on the island of Hon Thom.
Hon Thom Cable Car
Hon Thom Cable Car is recognized as a cable car with the longest sea crossing in the world as the length of it is 7899.9 m. Hon Thom Cable Car gives visitors an extremely interesting and unforgettable experience when boarding and admiring the sea view from above.
Hon Thom Cable Car connects An Thoi Town to Hon Thom. The cable car route departs from An Thoi Station, carries passengers over Hon Dua Island and Hon Roi Island before finally arriving at Hon Thom Station. The cable car ride from An Thoi to Hon Thom takes about 15-20 minutes. The system has 69 carriages capable of carrying 30 passengers each and uses the three-rope cable car technology that is the most modern and safest in the world.
When taking Hon Thom Cable Car, you will not only experience an exciting trip high above the water to see 360-degree panoramic view of the sky and sea, but also fully admire the paradise-like beauty of nature on the southern part of Phu Quoc Island and participate in many unique experiences and fun activities on Hon Thom Island.

Hon Thom Cable Car Operating Hours
Currently, Hon Thom Cable Car is operating daily, continuously from 8:00 to 17:30. However, there is a 1.5-hour long lunch break between 12:00 and 13:30. Please note it to avoid waiting.
The last cable car from Hon Thom Station departs to An Thoi Station at 17:30.
Aquatopia Water Park
Aquatopia Water Park is the main attraction on Hon Thom. The water park is a short walk from the cable car station. Aquatopia Water Park is considered to be the most modern water park in Southeast Asia, as it was opened on Hon Thom Island in December 2019.
There are more than 20 adventure attractions made by the world's leading manufacturers and designed according to international standards. The water park is uniquely designed and divided into 6 themed zones, including Tropical fruits, Marine creatures, Wildlife, Marine monsters, Aboriginal people and Pirates. Many slides and games at Aquatopia are appearing for the first time in Vietnam.
The water park is suitable for everyone as it features areas for adults and for kids. Adults will be excited by helter-skelter rides such as King and Queen Cobra and many other unique creations, including Anaconda, Sea Dragon and Flow Rider.
Other Activities
Besides taking the cable car to the beautiful Hon Thom Island and participating in fun activities at Aquatopia Water Park, you can use a free shuttle buggy car service to travel to the beautiful small Sunworld Beach with coconut groves on the sand for dipping into the ocean. Tickets for Hon Thom Cable Car and Aquatopia Water Park
Tickets for Hon Thom Cable Car and other activities on the island are offered in 5 types:
1. Hon Thom 2-way cable car ticket: Ticket used for return travel by the cable car. This ticket is suitable for those who just want to experience the cable car ride and watch the sea view from above.
Price: 300,000 VND per adult and 250,000 VND per child
If you purchase this ticket, which is valid for two-way trip, you need to keep the original ticket to use it again for the return trip. Otherwise, you will be charged for the new ticket.
2. Aquatopia Water Park ticket: This ticket is used to access Aquatopia Water Park, which is the main attraction on Hon Thom.
Price: 200,000 VND per adult and 150,000 VND per child
3. Combo ticket (Hon Thom Cable Car + Aquatopia Water Park): This ticket is a special ticket for those who want to take the cable car and have fun at the water park.
Price: 400,000 VND per adult and 300,000 VND per child
4. Combo ticket (Hon Thom Cable Car + Lunch buffet): This ticket is for those who want to experience the cable car and eat buffet on Hon Thom.
Price: 500,000 VND per adult and 300,000 VND per child
5. All In One Ticket (Hon Thom Cable Car + Aquatopia Water Park + Lunch Buffet): This ticket is all in one ticket for travelers who want to take the cable car, have fun at the water park and eat buffet on Hon Thom.

Restaurants on Hon Thom
Currently, there are 2 restaurants serving guests on Hon Thom.
Ba Mien Restaurant: This restaurant is serving lunch buffet of Vietnamese cuisine. The buffet price is 250,000 VND per adult and 125,000 VND per child (free for children under 1 m). You can choose to buy the combo ticket of cable car and buffet lunch or buy it separately at the reception at the restaurant.
Hawaiian Restaurant: This restaurant is serving an à la carte menu and set meals. The average price is from 200,000-400,000 VND per person, depending on the menu set.
How to get to Hon Thom Cable Car
Hon Thom Cable Car Station is located at the southernmost end of Phu Quoc Island, about 30 km from Duong Dong Town. You can reach Hon Thom Station in An Thoi Township by a taxi, shuttle bus or local bus, connecting various locations in Phu Quoc.
1. By Taxi
You can take a taxi to the cable car from anywhere on Phu Quoc Island. Taxi from Duong Dong Town to An Thoi Cable Station and back can cost about 800,000 VND. It might be not worth paying such a high price for taxi when the cable car ticket is much cheaper.
2. By Shuttle Bus of Hon Thom Cable Car
Update! This shuttle bus of Hon Thom Cable Car route has now stopped working.
There is also free shuttle bus at specific points in Duong Dong Town according to the scheduled time frame, dropping off passengers at An Thoi Station and vice versa.
The schedule of transfers to Sunworld Hon Thom Nature Park Phu Quoc with pick up locations and departure times is detailed below.
The shuttle bus from Duong Dong to An Thoi Cable Car Station departs at 8:00, 10:00 and 13:30. The pick-up points of the bus are At Galaxy Hotel, Lucky Hotel, Long Beach Center, Sun Sea Hotel, Eden Resort, and Novotel Resort. Pick up schedule:

The shuttle bus from An Thoi Cable Car Station to Duong Dong Town departs at 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00. The bus stops when requested on the route along Tran Hung Dao Street.
3. By Local Bus
If you are staying in Duong Dong Town or along the way to An Thoi, you can choose to travel by the local bus No. 11. This way to travel from Duong Dong to An Thoi is quite convenient and very cost effective.
The local bus operates from 05:40 to 17:20, with departures scheduled every 40 minutes.
The ticket for a one-way trip should cost only 30,000 VND per person.
The bus normally stops at An Thoi Post Office, which is less than 10 minutes’ walk away from An Thoi Station.
Important Notes
In case of bad weather, the cable car can be deactivated to ensure safety for travelers.
The cable car ticket also includes a free tram service to travel from Hon Thom Station to the beach and vice versa.
Food and drinking water from outside are not allow into Aquatopia Water Park.
