General Information of Phu Quoc International Airport
Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) is located in Duong To Commune, Phu Quoc District, Kien Giang Province. The airport is located in the southern part of Phu Quoc Island, about 15 km south of Duong Dong Town center. Phu Quoc Airport is one of the smaller airports in Vietnam but it serves more than 3 million passengers per year.
Currently, there are many local airlines offering daily trips to the island such as Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific Airlines, Bamboo Airways and VietJet Air. The airport also operates international flights to and from Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, China, Cambodia, Italy, Norway, England, Russia, etc.
The airport is designed to serve domestic and international passengers. There are 36 check-in counters available for passengers. International terminal is located in the eastern half and the western half is occupied by domestic terminal.

By Bus

Phu Quoc Airport Bus is a reliable public bus service offered by Phu Quoc Bus Joint Stock Company. This bus is a perfect choice for travelers who want to experience the combination of exploring nature and cultural history and the life of the local people while on the way from the airport. Phu Quoc public bus brings convenience and can also save lots of travel costs during your journey.
There is only 1 bus route operating currently but it lets you travel from Phu Quoc Airport to the center of Duong Dong Town or to get from the airport to An Thoi in the southern end of the island. Therefore, if you will be staying not on this bus route, taking Phu Quoc Airport Bus might be not the best choice.
To take Phu Quoc Airport Bus, you just need to exit the airport building and wait for the bus there. Depending on the location of your hotel, ask the bus driver if he is going to Duong Dong (north from the airport) or An Thoi (south from the airport) and choose the right direction.
The public bus is normally operating from 5:40 to 17:20, with departures from the terminal points of the route scheduled every 40 minutes. The fixed fare of Phu Quoc Airport Bus is 20,000 VND per person.
Phu Quoc public bus is running from Phu Quoc Airport to Duong Dong Town along Tran Hung Dao Street and turns at 30/4 Street to continue the route along Nguyen Trung Truc Street with the terminal bus stop being located at their own bus station at 111 Nguyen Trung Truc.
If you need to travel from Duong Dong Town center to Phu Quoc Airport, you should catch the bus on Nguyen Trung Truc Street before the flight time about 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours.
Airlines Airport Bus
In addition to using the public bus of Phu Quoc, you can also take the airlines bus. Jetstar Pacific is the domestic airlines that operates flights to and from Phu Quoc and is also serving the bus route from the airport the city center and vice versa. Jetstar bus from/to Phu Quoc Airport is running according to the flight schedule of Jetstar Airlines.
You can buy a bus ticket right on the plane when the flight is about to land at Phu Quoc Airport and get on the bus about 30 minutes after the flight arrives. The bus ticket price is 40,000 VND per person.
By Taxi
Taxi is a very popular mean of transportation in Phu Quoc. Unfortunately, currently there is no Grab or Uber available on Phu Quoc, so your only choice is the regular taxi. For getting from Phu Quoc Airport to city center or your hotel / resort, taking airport taxi is the right choice when you want to travel quickly and conveniently.
However, Phu Quoc taxis are quite expensive as the taxi fare here is about 17,000 VND per km. The taxi fare for a trip from Phu Quoc Airport to Duong Dong center can be about 140,000 - 200,000 VND for a one-way trip, depending on the distance you travel. There is also an additional 10,000 VND airport surcharge that you need to pay when exiting the airport.
